Seeking Volunteers!

Do you want to be the Geographical Networking Coordinator (GNC) for your area, or know someone who does?

WestPointWomen.org is seeking volunteers to serve as the geographical coordi­nators for networking events within your local geographical areas. This new net­working endeavor is a result of the overwhelming number of survey responses requesting more networking activities in their local area. The Geographical Networking Coordinator (GNC) will be responsible for coordinating networking events within her local geographical area and serve as a committee member on the WestPointWomen.org Networking Committee.

Geographical Networking Coordinator (GNC) responsibilities include:

• Determine the geographical area for your networking group
• Solicit membership
• Identify events in your area to use for networking
• Serve as a member of the WestPointWomen.org Networking Committee
• Participate on Monthly Networking Committee Conference calls to share ideas with other GNCs
• Coordinate, or find leads to coordinate, local events such as putting to­gether a team for a race or other sporting event, hosting an informal net­working happy hour or dinner, supporting a West Point women athletic team or group when they comes to your town, etc.
• Sharing your networking event and stories via the WestPointWomen.org Quarterly newsletter.

As the Chair of the WestPointWomen.org Networking Committee, I am looking for networking event suggestions as well as volunteers to be Geographical Net­working Coordinators (GNC).
